A Dozen Favorite Things That Oprah Has Chosen More Than Once

It’s the question we get asked the most: Yes, Oprah does taste, test and try every single item on Favorite Things. She happily receives recommendations from friends, neighbors, the Oprah Daily team and her daughter-girls for gift ideas, small and large, at all different price points, and then methodically goes through them one by one. She especially likes to include products from small businesses, to give visibility to founders with a dream who put everything into bringing their vision to life. “That’s what’s so authentic about this list,” says Adam Glassman, Oprah Daily’s creative director, who has spearheaded the Favorite Things searches for years. “They really are her favorite things,” he says.

And while she’s certainly always on the lookout for something fresh and new to add to the list, Oprah also doesn’t hesitate to include the same brands over multiple years. For instance, this is the 10th list in a row for which she has selected Footnanny products from Gloria Williams, her longtime pedicurist. Her logic is simple: She loves these products, so why not continue to share them?

Adam calls this Minnesota-based company one of our greatest finds — the mom-and-pop brand had never been featured in national press before we found them in the back corner of a trade show. Ever since, Oprah has loved her Softies.

AirEssentials Half-Zip Top and Wide-Leg Pants

This brand has been special to us ever since Sara Blakely brought her original shapewear to The Oprah Winfrey Show. The company continued providing the same comfort and support as it expanded into loungewear and sportswear. This particular outfit is a second-timer — now in colors that fit Oprah’s palette to a T.

Holiday Sweatshirts

The adorable husband and wife behind Kaans Designs have a terrific sense of humor and a knack for coming up with superfun sayings for T-shirts (last year’s pick) and bright sweatshirts (Oprah’s selection for 2023). We also truly love that this business began as a side hustle.

At-Home Pedicure Kit

Gloria Williams, aka the Footnanny, was the head nail technician at the mini-spa at Harpo Studios in Chicago. When Oprah moved west, Williams branched out, opening her own studio and launching this product line. Ten straight years of appearances later, the rest is history.

24-Ounce Cold Cup

This triple-insulated cup feels great in the hand, comes in 19 colors and keeps drinks cold for up to 12 hours (or hot for five). It’s perfect to keep at a desk or in the car.

White Truffle Gift Set

Oprah’s is a hot-sauce household, and she has loved this brand since it launched its very first Black Truffle Hot Sauce in 2017. (She carries it with her and gifts it to fellow hot-sauce aficionados.) In the years since, the company has created hotter sauces, white-truffle varieties and truffle-infused olive oil and mayo.

Blissful Breakfast Gift Box

A gift box from Stone Hollow is always a home run. The delicious products come from a family farm in Georgia, but what sets it apart — and keeps reserving its spot on the list over multiple years—is the packaging, which is perfection. Oprah believes God is in the details, and the folks at Stone Hollow obviously agree.
