After a down Monday, Tuesday sets new Iowa State Fair attendance record. See by how much:

After a rainy day on Monday, Tuesday was a mostly cloudy day at the Iowa State Fair.

Attendance still beat 2023's total on the sixth day of the fair, and even set a record.

This isn't the first record-breaking turnout in 2024. with the first Saturday and Sunday outdoing 2023 attendance. Saturday also broke the single-day attendance record.

How many people attended the Iowa State Fair on Day 6?

The Iowa State Fair saw 105,384 people attend on Tuesday for the fair's sixth day.

That broke the Tuesday attendance record of 102,953 set in 2019 by 2,431 attendees.

Attendance in 2024 was up 4,140 people from 2023 when 101,244 people attended the sixth day.

So far, the fair has seen a total of 19,522 more attendees through the first six days than in 2023.

Tuesday saw plenty of fun at the fair. U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst greeted Ukrainian ambassador Oksana Markarova during her visit. Des Moines Mayor Connie Boesen didn't miss out on the action, and was spotted visiting the butter cow with Markarova.

The annual Farm Bureau Cook-Off took place, and plenty of men competed for the best beard, longest beard and best-groomed beard.
