Don't want to cook Thanksgiving? These South Shore restaurants can help

The weather is getting colder by the day and the leaves are falling. Thanksgiving is only weeks away, and South Shore restaurants are offering menus fit for the occasion.

There are options for people who want to eat out and for those who just want a quick and easy fix for Thanksgiving dinner so they don't have to spend hours cooking and even longer cleaning up.

Deadlines for takeout orders are quickly approaching and reservations are being filled. Here's a list of restaurants that are offering dine-in and takeout Thanksgiving meals.

Thanksgiving meals to-go

Thanksgiving catering packages are available at this Weymouth restaurant with offerings designed to feed six or 12 people. Brined and roasted turkey breast is featured in the package with creamy and buttery mashed potatoes, pan gravy, artisan rolls and more. The only difference between the packages is the quantity of food.

Packages for six people cost $225; packages for 12 are $425. The deadline for orders is Nov. 18, with pickup scheduled for Nov. 22 between noon and 5 p.m. True North Kitchen + Bar is at 159 Bridge St., North Weymouth. truenorthkitchenandbar.com.

Sarcastic Swine Restaurant & Catering

This barbecue restaurant with locations in Abington and Middleboro is offering a Southern twist to the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Three different-sized packages are being offered: individual meals and meals for between four and eight people and 10 and 14 people.

Each package comes with smoked turkey and gravy, macaroni and cheese, green bean casserole, cornbread stuffing, pecan bread pudding and more. Texas Twinkies, brisket rangoons, smoked brisket and other items are available a la carte.

Individual packages are $21.95, with the other two coming in at $200 and $325 respectively. Orders must be placed by calling 781-871-0033 no later than Nov. 19. Customers can pick up their meals at the restaurant's Abington location on Nov. 22 from noon to 5 p.m. and on Thanksgiving Day from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

The only pickup option at the Middleboro location is Nov. 22nd from noon to 6 p.m.

Greenside Grille Restaurant

Greenside Grille has Thanksgiving curbside catering packages available. Packages are offered for one or two people, four or five people and eight to 10 people.

They include slow-roasted turkey, honey baked ham, mashed potatoes, orange-cranberry relish and either a pumpkin or apple pie. Additional appetizers such as artisan cheese boards and Greek salads are available separately.

Packages start at $99 for a small package, $199 for a medium package and $399 for a large. Customers can order by calling 781-749-1720; the last day to order is Nov. 15. Alma Nove

Located in Hingham, Alma Nove is offering a takeout Thanksgiving dinner designed to serve four people. The package comes with 5 pounds of boneless turkey breast, roasted Brussels sprouts, roasted butternut squash, whipped potatoes, pan-roasted gravy and pumpkin spice cake, among other items. The package costs $199.

Customers can also order items a la carte, with chocolate cream pies, apple streusel cakes, salumi platters, meatballs and more available as single items. Pickup for Thanksgiving takeout items is Nov. 22, and customers are asked to call 781-749-3353 to place their orders. Alma Nove is located at 22 Shipyard Drive.

Cooking in with Stephanie

Milton caterer Stephanie McFadden is offering Thanksgiving catering through online ordering. A full turkey dinner is sold by the person ($45). Dinners come with turkey breast, mashed potatoes, stuffing with fresh herbs, gravy, cranberry sauce, string beans and a pumpkin bar.

Other a la carte items include baked ham with a brown-sugar glaze, chicken satay, herb-roasted turkey breast, tortellini skewers, asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and, for people with a sweet tooth, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, mini cheesecakes and more.

Gerard Turkey Farm

Not only does Gerard's sell fresh turkeys, the Marshfield farm also sells full dinners ready to heat and serve. This year it is offering small dinners for six or seven adults and large dinners for 16 or 17 adults.

The dinners include the classics like roasted turkey, gravy, bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, butternut squash, dinner rolls, cranberry sauce, apple pie and cranberry-orange relish. The larger dinner includes a pumpkin pie as well as larger portions.

The small dinner costs $220; the large dinner is $350. Pickup for the dinners and any fresh turkey orders will be Nov. 21 and 22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A hot Thanksgiving dinner is also available for pickup on Thanksgiving Day for shoppers who want to skip the heating step. This option serves 10 to 12 adults and costs $425.

Trucchi's Supermarkets

Local supermarket chain Trucchi's is selling a traditional turkey dinner that serves six to eight people. That includes a fully cooked 10- to 12-pound turkey, 3 pounds of stuffing, 4 pounds of mashed potatoes, 3 pounds of butternut squash, 2 pounds of gravy, a dozen dinner rolls, cranberry sauce and a 10-inch pumpkin pie.

The dinner costs $89.99, with pickup scheduled for Nov. 22. Trucchi's has six locations on or near the South Shore. trucchis.com/products/traditional-turkey-dinner.

Common Market Restaurants

Quincy’s Common Market Restaurants is offering turkey dinners for groups as small as three and as large as 16. The smallest dinner comes with sliced roasted turkey and pan gravy while the largest dinner comes with a 14- to 16-pound whole roasted turkey and 14 pounds of fresh turkey breast.

The smallest dinner is $54, the medium-sized dinner for eight to 10 people costs $225, and the largest package offered is $350. Pies, dinner rolls, gravy, mashed potatoes and more are also sold a la carte.

Pickup is scheduled for Nov. 21 and 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., respectively. The cutoff date for all orders is Nov. 17, the Friday before Thanksgiving. commonmarketrestaurants.com/ or call 617-472-9464.

Thanksgiving meals for dine-in

Alba on 53

Alba on 53 in Hanover is offering a three-course Thanksgiving dinner with pumpkin bisque, turkey and pie, and appetizers such as crispy calamari and shrimp cocktails on the menu.

For diners who don't want turkey, prime New York sirloin, Atlantic cod and more entrees will be available. Prices for the Thanksgiving three-course dinner range from $38 to $42 with reservations available. Alba on 53 is at the Merchants Row Shopping Center at 2053 Washington St., Hanover.

Victory Point

Unlimited food at a waterfront event space is being offered at Victory Point. The Thanksgiving buffet runs from noon to 5 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. According to the restaurant's Resy listing, three timeslots are open for customers to reserve: noon, 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Customers are limited to 2½ hours per table.

A bread station, clam chowder, herb-roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, penne pomodoro, stuffed pork loin, as well as mini pastries and more will be available. The cost is $55.95 per person. Victory Point is at 332 Victory Road, Quincy.

Bluefish River Tavern

Reservations for Thanksgiving Day dinner are open at Bluefish River Tavern in Duxbury. Seatings are scheduled at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Apart from the traditional turkey dinner, the tavern will also offer seafood-focused dishes such as lobster casserole, ceviche and more.

Granite Links

Two different options are offered at Granite Links in Quincy. One is the Grand Buffet in the ballroom, with seating options at noon and 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving. The buffet costs $57 per adult and $27 per child. Soups, salads, main courses and desserts are on the menu, with an oven-roasted turkey carving station, apple pecan salad and many other items available.

Thanksgiving in the Tavern is also offered from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. A roasted turkey dinner with pan gravy, brioche stuffing, orange-cranberry chutney, roasted butternut squash, haricots verts and garlic mashed potatoes are some of the items offered.

Bay Pointe Waterfront Restaurant

This Quincy-based seafood restaurant is offering clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, oysters and salmon, with a traditional turkey dinner, prime rib, seafood pasta and baked lobster among the entrees.

There is also a children’s menu with a turkey dinner, fish and chips, chicken fingers and mac and cheese.

Bay Pointe Waterfront Restaurant is at 64 Washington Court, Quincy. Reservations for the Thanksgiving dinner can be made by calling 617-472-3200.

Fox and Hound

Fox and Hound is accepting Thanksgiving reservations for 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kung pao cauliflower, chicken fingers, crab cakes, and more will be offered for starters.

Roast turkey dinner, baked ham and seafood plates including grilled swordfish, lobster macaroni and cheese are among the entrees. A kids menu and desserts are also available.
