Donald Trump and Mike Lindell consider destroying voting machines to make prison bars

Less democracy, more incarceration.

MyPillow salesman Mike Lindell spent roughly 40 minutes discussing bogus election fraud theories with Donald Trump at the former president’s Mar-a-Lago property, Insider reports. That discussion included Trump, who lost the 2020 election by 7 million votes, supporting Lindell’s suggestion that voting machines should be melted and turned into prison bars.

“That’s very interesting,” said Trump, who wore a tuxedo during their chat. “That’s a very good idea.”

The interview aired online Tuesday. The Daily Beast reports it had been prerecorded. That outlet also reported that Lindell told their reporters that he’d like to see the plastic used in voting machines turned into food trays for prison inmates.

Lindell is being sued for $1.3 billion by Dominion Voting Systems over his claim the technologies company was somehow a party to Trump’s defeat. The 60-year-old businessman is one of several Trump surrogates being sued for pushing election fraud rumors. Those suits also involve former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and several right-wing cable outlets on which the bombastic pillow-pusher advertises.

Celebrity Net Worth puts Lindell’s worth at $50 million. He announced during his chat with Trump that he would livestream a 96-hour performance over Thanksgiving weekend to “help save our country.”

In his memoir “What Are the Odds?” Lindell describes a lifestyle of gambling and drug abuse that overcame to become a successful entrepreneur. The book sells on Amazon for $9.97 where its sales page stipulates that “Due to the holographic cover this will not be accepted into prisons/jails. Please choose the prison approved version.”
