Donald Trump Has Message For US Women’s Soccer Team

As disappointed as the US women’s national soccer team might have been to walk away with bronze instead of gold at the 2020 Summer Olympics, former President Donald Trump was left absolutely fuming.

In a statement released following the USWNT’s bronze medal win over Australia, Trump railed against the team. He called the team “a radical group of Leftist Maniacs” and said that if they weren’t “woke” they wouldn’t have failed to win gold.

“If our soccer team, headed by a radical group of Leftist Maniacs, wasn’t woke, they would have won the Gold Medal instead of the Bronze,” Trump said. “Woke means you lose, everything that is woke goes bad, and our soccer team certainly has. They should replace the wokesters with Patriots and start winning again. The woman with the purple hair (World Cup MVP Megan Rapinoe) played terribly and spends too much time thinking about Radical Left politics and not doing her job!”

The USWNT have long been a thorn in the former President’s side. Back in 2019, the USWNT made it clear that they would not visit the White House after winning the FIFA Women’s World Cup, which they won in dominating fashion. In the years since then, nearly all of the members have criticized the President for his policies.

Naturally, the President took great offense at that, and started going after the USWNT at every opportunity.

No doubt Rapinoe and other members of the USWNT will clap back at President Trump in the coming hours or days.

But if the former President wants to create his own team of “Patriotic” soccer players he’s more than welcome to. He certainly has the assets to create his own league, and a dedicated following that would probably help contribute.
