If you've been itching to see Sandra Hüller and Messi the Border Collie in Justine Triet's Anatomy of a Fall, you're in luck! The film, which is nominated for Best Picture and four other Academy Awards including Best Actress, is pretty easy to watch right now.

I know many of us are upset that Greta Gerwig wasn't nominated for Barbie in this category alongside her, but it's still a really big deal! Triet is only the eighth woman to be nominated for Best Director ever. And it's so deserved! Anatomy of a Fall rules. It's a courtroom drama. It's a murder mystery. It's about marriage and relationships and supporting women's rights and women's wrongs. There's a hot lawyer and a sassy prosecutor who have both been the subject of fancams. It's shocking, darkly comic, and pretty profound without being, like, so depressing your whole day is ruined. It's also a French film that's partially in English, so if you're the type of person who doesn't like reading subtitles, it's a nice compromise. Here's how to watch it!

The film is available for PVOD digital rental on Apple and Amazon Prime Video for $6 and on Google Play and YouTube for $7. Not too shabby!
As for whether or not Anatomy of a Fall will pop up on a streaming series you're already paying for, great news on that front! The movie is set to stream on Hulu starting March 22. So if you can wait a few weeks, you can watch it with your Hulu subscription.
Also, check your local indie theaters! It may still be playing in your area. If that's possible for you, I think it's worth it. Some of the funnier moments in the film are kind of dry, humor-wise, and might hit harder with an audience. Just my two cents! The only downside is that Anatomy of a Fall's runtime is 2 hours and 32 minutes. That's a long sit. 😬
