Doja Cat Wears a Literal Cobweb to the 2023 MTV VMAs Red Carpet

It looks like Doja Cat is using this year's VMAs appearance to kick off spooky season.

On Tuesday, Sept. 12, the "Paint the Town Red" rapper showed up to the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards looking perfectly creepy, as she donned literal cobwebs as her attire for the evening.

Her lacy outfit left little to the imagination, featuring spiderweb-like cutouts that reached all the way from her neck to her legs, with the more of the webbed fabric draping behind her.

The 27-year-old artist put a glamorous spin on the hair-raising look, adding a pair of sparkly jelly heels and rhinestone accents around her eyes.

She also accessorized with an array of sparkling jewelry, including a set of earrings in the shape of black spiders.

Even Doja's back tattoos complimented her look for the evening, as the cutouts on the back of her dress prefectly revealed some eerie ink, appearing to be in the shape of skeleton, printed along her spine.

Fans couldn't get enough of her Halloween-inspired ensemble, as many playfully poked fun at the get-up. "Happy Halloween," one fan declared in response.

Another chimed in, pretending to be the hitmaker, "'So who are you wearing tonight? Spirit Halloween.'"

However, a third put it best when they wrote, "She better not get caught on any sharp corners!"

Doja—who already has four VMAs under her belt—is nominated for five awards this year, including Video of the Year for "Attention," Artist of the Year and Best Collaboration for Post Malone's "I Like You (A Happier Song)."

The "Say So" songstress is also expected to perform at Tuesday night's show, along with a slew of other notable names, including Demi Lovato, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, Future, Kelsea Ballerini, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Wayne, Stray Kids, Swae Lee, Karol G, Fall Out Boy, Diddy and plenty of other stars.
