Noah Schnapp is moving on after the social media drama that ensued when he shared DMs of Doja Cat swooning over his Stranger Things co-star Joseph Quinn. Noah shared his thoughts with Variety on the spat and revealed how he mended things with the Planet Her rapper.

"I'm super unserious on social media and pretty goofy, so I posted that not thinking too much of it, but obviously it hurt her feelings," the Stranger Things star began. "So, as I should, I apologized, and she was totally okay with it and was like, "I'm sorry how I reacted." It was all good. I love her. I'm like the biggest fan of her music, and I told her that. I was like, you're literally my role model."

Despite the big blow-up online, Noah reassured Variety that the actual situation was less dramatic than it played out online. "It’s all good. People make such a big deal out of everything when it's on the internet, but, like, in reality, it's like a two-minute thing."

As of July 13, it seems like there isn't any bad blood between Doja Cat and Noah Schnapp. The Stranger Things star posted a TikTok of himself using a math quiz challenge filter and he even included a sped-up version of Doja's Grammy-winning song, "Kiss Me More."

He probably anticipated that fans would spam his comments because of his song choice and the DM drama that preceded it, so he also left a comment to clear the air. "Guys everything is all good I apologized and I still follow her and love her music no hard feelings ❤️❤️," Noah wrote.

Doja has yet to respond to Noah's gesture. The Los Angeles Times reported that this DM debacle cost her thousands of followers on Instagram. The outlet found that Social Blade's stats showed a loss of almost 200,000 followers on Instagram, which means her follower count went from 24.34 million to 24.14 million since July 7 (a.k.a the day she spoke about Noah on her TikTok live stream). Her TikTok follower count remained the same.

On the other hand, Noah went from having 24.25 million Instagram followers to having 25.17 million during the same time period and also gained almost 3 million followers on TikTok.

Is Doja Cat responding to the backlash she's received for calling out on social media Noah Schnapp after he shared their private Instagram DM conversation on TikTok? Fans think so with her latest Twitter activity.

On July 8, Doja responded to a fan's tweet that said Doja has gone too far calling Noah a "snake" and "dumb," and that Doja should have privately messaged the Stranger Things actor to voice her displeasure in the situation. The "Vegas" singer simply said "that’s dope i get that."

Doja also liked a meme of "noah watching the live" and a tweet from one user that read "no one was mad at you for dming him when he posted and they were all laughing! but the second you express your concern it’s “why was she’s dming a 17 year old 😡!!!” like they need to be serious."

The singer drafted her own tweet the same day saying, "y’all are so cringe and lame and nobody wants to hang w u that’s why y’all be on here unironically writing replies to shit that makes you mad," after changing her Twitter name to "im better than you."

And while her tweet doesn't exactly address the situation, fans in the comment section couldn't help but draw the conclusion that the statement and name change could be related to the backlash.

Noah has yet to comment on the situation.

UPDATE 7/8/2022

Doja Cat has responded after Noah Schnapp shared their private Instagram DM conversation on TikTok. The string of messages show Doja asking Noah to help set her up with his Stranger Things co-star Joseph Quinn — but in an Instagram Live on July 7, Doja said that Noah never asked her permission to post the DMs.

“I think that to be fair, first let’s be chill about it. Like Noah is a kid, but, I don’t even know how old he is, but he’s not even over – like there’s no way he’s over 21,” she said, per Page Six. “But when you’re that young, you make mistakes.”

Doja went on to call Noah’s decision “unbelievably socially unaware and whack.”

“Maybe he is like a whole snake. But I didn’t see him that way,” she continued. “I made an assumption that he was gonna be chill about it and he went and shared information that I didn’t feel comfortable with him sharing.”

As of Friday morning, the video has been taken down from Noah’s TikTok account.

ORIGINAL STORY 7/7/2022

After binge-watching Stranger Things 4, all of us have a massive crush on Joseph Quinn, aka Eddie Munson, right? The hair! The British accent! The charm! Who can blame us?

Certainly not Doja Cat — and Joseph’s Stranger Things co-star Noah Schnapp just exposed her for thirsting over the actor.

At some point — likely following the release of Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 — Doja directly messaged Noah on Instagram, asking him to set her up with Joseph. This pretty much goes without saying, but the whole exchange is *very* iconic.

“Noah can u tell Joseph to hmu,” Doja wrote before following up with, “Wait no. Does he have a gf?”

“LMAOO slide into his DMs,” Noah responded, to which Doja replied, “Idk his IG or Twitter... He doesn’t have a DM to slide in.”

Like a true king, Noah followed up with a link to Joseph’s Instagram profile and wrote, “Right here ma’am.” Ummm OK, can I frame this conversation somewhere?

On Tuesday, Noah shared the whole convo on TikTok. The seven-second clip was a stitch with user @taradanto, who took a screenshot of Doja reacting to a picture of Joseph on Twitter that said, “Doja look how fine Joseph Quinn is.” Doja replied, “It’s f***ing criminal.” Noah’s video then showed their DMs, as Doja’s very own “Boss Bitch” played in the background. Like I said, iconique.

At this time, it doesn’t seem like Doja has responded to Noah’s video — but this definitely isn’t the first (or second) time she’s declared her infatuation for Joseph.

“joseph quinn fine as shit,” she tweeted on May 30.

I mean, can’t say we disagree.
