American Bulldogs might be short and stout dogs, but they are big! Seeing one on the screen of your phone doesn't really put into perspective how big they are, so Lulu and TukTuk's mom decided to show us just how big her bully's head is by comparing its size with items around the house.

She posted a video at the beginning of March that starts with her holding an AirPods case up to the dog's head and the case looks small; but let's be honest, the case really is pretty small. The items progressively get bigger from there. You really can't tell just how big its head is until the very end, and it's mind blowing!

That head is huge! I was blown away by how small mom's entire body looked next to its head. I wasn't the only one impressed by the size. Lulu and TukTuk's fans were also amazed at his size. @Wade got nearly 100 thousand likes for his comment, "It didn’t fully process until you showed him compared to mom." @Bri and several others pointed out, "That smile at the end!" Others compared the pup to a land hippo, a meatloaf, and a seal. It's a very big dog!

Facts About American Bullys

While this bully might look intimidating, American Bulldogs are actually known to be a very friendly breed. It's important to socialize them from a young age with other dogs and people. They enjoy learning new things, so training is something that they look forward to because they like to please their owners. Overall, they are big, loving dogs. They are not naturally aggressive and do well with small children, however like with any dog, you should never leave them unattended.

Bullys are extremely intelligent but can be stubborn. According to All Things Dogs, "The first step in training an American Bully is to establish yourself as a leader positively and firmly. This breed respects assertive, confident handling, but it’s crucial to avoid harsh methods. Consistency is key; setting clear rules and sticking to them helps your Bully understand expectations and fosters a respectful relationship."

Many think that these dogs are Pitbulls, but surprisingly, they are not. These bulldogs are descendants of English Bulldogs and were bred to work on farms. Unlike English Bulldogs who aren't very energetic, these guys are athletes and love to be exercised and to play.

Bullys don't shed much, and their grooming is easy to maintain. They only need to be bathed when they get dirty, and daily brushings keep their coats shiny and clean.

Thinking that a Bully might be a good dog for your next family dog? It probably would be if you can afford it. These dogs are expensive; a "cheap" one would cost at least a couple of thousand dollars. Yikes!
