Mitchell Kolinsky, the first generation rancher who recently bought a plot of land just outside Nashville, entered into this week's Farmer Wants a Wife Season 2 finale with two women to choose from: outdoorsy Sydney or his mom's favorite, Kait.

After weeks and weeks of listening to Sydney brag about how much she loves to hunt and fish, Mitchell finally declared her the winner.
“Getting to know you has been such a joy," Mitchell told her. "We share something that’s so important to me…and that’s the love for the outdoors. And I have not found a girl in my whole life that is able to share that same common interest with me and make me feel like I can actually be myself.”
For her part, Sydney called Mitchell the man she was looking for "her whole life" (she's 22)—"someone who will protect me and care about me and put me first."
Animals, beware ... these two are grabbing their his-and-her rifles and heading into their happily ever after (the woods).

Although Mitchell praised Kait (yet again) for being kind and maternal, he also admitted to not feeling the deepest connection with her. "I feel like I do have a stronger connection with somebody else," he said. "I want you to know that I’m so thankful for you. It’s an emotional rollercoaster for me, and it’s hard to say goodbye. I want the best for you."
Kait was upset ("I did invest a lot of feelings and time into Mitchell," she said). But not surprisingly, she handled the breakup with grace ("I still feel like I’m a better person after meeting you," she assured him).
Here's hoping Mitchell's mom took the news half as well as Kait did.
