District 10 boys tennis highlights the top performers among Erie County athletes: May 6-11

The Erie Times-News continues to honor Erie County athletes who have recorded notable achievements throughout District 10's sprint sports season.

These lists will run through Memorial Day weekend, when the PIAA track and field meet and boys tennis tournament are scheduled.

This week's top performers are:

Baseball

Reilly Brown, Iroquois: He pitched a two-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts for the Braves when they beat the Union City Bears 1-0.

Jordan Cannon, General McLane: He pitched a complete-game, five-hitter for the Lancers en route to their 3-2 victory vs. Erie High.

Carson Stevens, Girard: He struck out 10 Seneca batters over his five-inning start for the YellowJackets, who won 11-1.

Jason Dolak, Harbor Creek: His home run helped the Huskies defeat the Northwestern Wildcats 13-2.

Brady Rice, Mercyhurst Prep: He got out of a seventh-inning jam to record a save for the Lakers, who doubled up the Fairview Tigers 6-3.

Softball

Mackenzie Moore, Cathedral Prep: She hit a home run for the Ramblers when they won 8-3 at District 9 Moniteau.

Brooklynn Cipalla, Harbor Creek: Her batting line concluded with five RBIs for the Huskies, who routed the Fairview Tigers 20-2.

Londyn Davis, Fort LeBoeuf

Londyn Davis, Fort LeBoeuf: She hit a home run for the Bison when they defeated Seneca 12-1.

Baelyn Randolph, Iroquois: Her two hits and four RBIs aided the Braves, who beat the Eisenhower Knights 14-3.

Sydney Wittman, North East: She totaled three RBIs during the Grapepickers’ 14-8 victory vs. General McLane.

Boys tennis

John Sinnott, Erie High: The junior became the Royals’ inaugural District 10 singles champion when he won its Class 3A final at Westwood Racquet Club.

Jonah Ng, Cathedral Prep: He won District 10’s Class 2A singles tournament for the second time in three seasons.

Girls lacrosse

Emma Crowers, McDowell: Her five goals personally outscored Meadville when the Trojans beat the Bulldogs 16-2.
