Disguised Toast announces content creation break to take care of father
Jeremy “Disguised Toast” Wang announced that he will be taking a break from content creation to help take care of his father.
The Facebook Gaming streamer revealed the news on Jan. 3, tweeting that he would be returning to Canada “to take care of my father.” While the break will mean a reduction of content, Toast said he would still be streaming to fulfill his contractual obligations.

Streamers and fans responded with an outpouring of support and well wishes. The supporters included fellow OfflineTV members Imane “Pokimane” Anys and Yvonne Ng, as well as content collaborators such as Jack “CouRage” Dunlop and Rachel “Valkyrae” Hoffstetter.

Toast is something of a prodigy in the streaming world. The 29-year-old streamer has excelled in multiple different games and built audiences on numerous platforms. He first gained prominence in 2015 as a Hearthstone YouTuber using the alias Disguised Toast, an intentional corruption of the Hearthstone phrase, “Ha! This guy’s toast.”
He then went on to Twitch where he continued to stream Hearthstone. When Riot Games launched Teamfight Tactics 2019, Toast shifted his focus and became the most popular streamer for the auto chess title. In the same year, Toast left Twitch to stream exclusively on Facebook.
Today, he is one of the most popular Among Us streamers in the world. In fact, he was part of the streamer cohort who played Among Us with Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on her very first livestream. Unfortunately for AOC, Toast was also the one who infamously buttered her up on her first game only to betray and kill her in the end.
Toast didn’t mention any specifics about his father or when the break will be over. However, many fans commended the streamer for taking time off and affirmed that family should always come first.
