Digital road sign in N.Y. town changed to read ‘TRUMP 2020’

A digital road sign in a town near Poughkeepsie was programmed to display pro-Trump and anti-Cuomo messages instead of road closure warnings.

A resident of Beacon, N.Y. spotted the sign, which blinked “TRUMP 2020” and “CUOMO KILLED NY," in Fishkill early Wednesday.

“Couldn’t believe my eyes this morning on Washington (Ave.),” Erin Mayne Kleinke posted on Facebook, alongside the photos.

The Hudson Valley Post reported the display was a private construction sign — and it’s been fixed.

“It’s in the town of Fishkill. It’s a private construction sign notifying residents of a future road closing. An unknown person changed the text and since has been corrected," Town of Fiskill Supervisor Ozzy Albra told the site Wednesday.

It wasn’t clear who switched up the message.
