Digimon Con Dated For Next Month – Everything We Know

The annual Digimon convention from Bandai Namco, Digimon Con – not DigiCon, like it should be – is almost here, the company has revealed, and fans are getting very excited. The celebratory event will be streamed across the world, and is set to include some juicy new details for upcoming projects across all of the Digimon franchise’s aspects.
We’ve had a few details dropped here and there since the convention was announced late last year, and now with the date for Digimon Con 2024 revealed, we thought we’d start collecting everything we know about this year’s biggest Digimon event all into one place.
Digimon Con 2024 Stream Date
Bandai Namco has revealed that Digimon Con 2024 will take place on March 9, 2024, at 7:00pm PST. That puts it firmly into March 10, 2024 in Japan and much of the world east of the US, but just in case you didn’t want to do the conversion yourself, we’ve put together a handy list of Digimon Con 2024 stream times for each time zone below:

How To Watch Digimon Con 2024
To watch Digimon Con 2024, you’ll have to tune in to the official Digimon YouTube channel, where the entire convention will be streamed. Last year’s event went for three days, and a schedule was revealed beforehand, so we’ll endeavor to get that schedule up as soon as it becomes available.

Digimon Con 2024 New Game
Late last year, when Digimon Con 2024 was officially announced, Bandai Namco hinted at the possibility of a new Digimon game announcement at the convention. The company shared a survey about Digimon games, saying that it was “to commemorate Digimon Con 2024,” strongly suggesting that a new game was in the works.
Fans have been speculating ever since about what could be announced, but the most likely answer is a new Digimon Story game. The Digimon Story series has been running for quite some time, but it was the most recent duo of games – Cyber Sleuth and Hacker’s Memory – that really put it on the map in the West.
Back in 2017, Bandai Namco revealed that a brand-new Digimon Story game was in the works, and in 2022 revealed that the game would take place in the Digital World, rather than the real world like Cyber Sleuth, and focus on the Olympos XII, a powerful cabal of high-level Digimon. We haven’t seen any of the actual game yet, but given it’s been in development for at least seven years, it’s due any day now.
Digimon Con 2024 New Anime
Of course, Digimon is more than just video games, and this Digimon Con is rather special as it falls just a few days after the 25th anniversary of the Digimon Adventure anime. We’ve seen that continue with Digimon Adventure Tri, Last Evolution Kizuna, and Adventure 02: The Beginning, and more movies certainly could be on the way, but the more exciting prospect is the idea of an all-new anime series.
So far, we haven’t heard anything about a potential new series, but given the anniversary status we can’t imagine the convention will come and go without something happening. Keep your eyes on this space, as we’ll definitely be hearing more soon.
