Mike McDaniel is entering his third season as head coach and will finally his first first-round selection. The Dolphins had no first-round picks in 2022 and 2023.
However, the Dolphins have another potential anomaly in this year's draft. They enter without a third-round pick due to punishment from the Sean Payton-Tom Brady tampering scandal. The franchise has never concluded a draft without a pick in the third or fourth round.

When do the Dolphins pick today?
The Dolphins have a mid-to-late first round pick in the NFL Draft, which is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Miami will have one pick on Friday during the second and third-round selections, which starts at 7 p.m.
Four of the Dolphins six total selections will fall during Saturday's afternoon broadcast, which begins at noon.
Chop Robinson selected by Miami Dolphins with 21st pick
The Dolphins have selected edge rusher Chop Robinson from Penn State with the 21st overall pick in the first round.
Robinson was a first team All Big 10 performer in the 2023 season.

Caleb Williams selected by Chicago Bears with first pick
