Diamondbacks vs. Phillies fan updates: Ticket prices for Game 3 drop on resale sites

After a disappointing start to the National League Championship, the Diamondbacks were back in Phoenix to take on the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 3 on Thursday.

The Diamondbacks lost the first game of the series on Monday 3-5 and were beaten 10-0 in the second game on Tuesday, both of which were played in Philadelphia.

Thursday's game, which begins at 2:07 p.m., is the first game of the series to be played at Chase Field, giving more Arizona fans a chance to cheer on the Diamondbacks in person. The fourth game will be on Friday; a fifth game, if necessary, is slated for Saturday.

Follow along with our coverage throughout the game.

Will the roof of Chase Fields be open for Game 3?

No, the roof will not be open for the Diamondbacks versus Phillies game on Thursday.

However, the roof was scheduled to be open for Game 4 on Friday and Game 5 on Saturday, if it is necessary.

The 9 million-pound retractable roof is powered by two 200-horsepower engines. It uses a pulley and cable system to open and close in just about 4 minutes, according to the Diamondbacks’ website.

DBacks ticket prices for Game 3 drop on resale sites

Ticket prices ahead of the DBack's first home game of the series remain well below the typical margin for an MLB Postseason game as resale sites, such as SeatGeek, are posting upper deck prices as low as $15.

This is not exclusive to SeatGeek either, as StubHub, Vivid Seats and TickPick had tickets available for about $15-30.

If you run the official route and purchase tickets through the MLB website via Ticketmaster, you'll be paying nearly triple the current resale price at about $70.
