Game notes: Detroit Tigers right-handed pitcher Reese Olson has been excellent this year, but incredibly, he's still looking for that evasive first win.
He's been robbed by poor run support, a line drive to the hip, more poor run support, and yes, you guessed it, bad run support from his hitters.
Olson's 2.16 ERA ranks seventh among all starting pitchers, yet he's the only starter without a win among the top 76 qualified pitchers.
Incredibly, his last time out his luck got even worse when he was smoked in the hit by a comebacker and had to exit the game in the third inning.
Olson will hope that his luck can finally flip when facing the Blue Jays in Game 3 of their four-game series with Toronto, with Casey Mize scheduled to finish things off for the Tigers on Sunday.
