Detroit Lions use Sam Richardson, Tim Robinson to reveal 2024 NFL schedule for hometown team

The Detroit Lions' 2024 schedule has arrived.

The Lions released the 17-game schedule with a video featuring two Detroit originals. Comedians Sam Richardson and Tim Robinson, the stars of the once-Comedy Central staple "Detroiters," helped present the schedule as only they could.

In what felt like a four-minute improv routine, Richardson and Robinson were stationed in the parking lot of the Allen Park headquarters, next to a new "machine," and fresh out of ideas.

It's better you watch then we try to explain.

Detroit is looking to repeat as NFC North champions after going 12-5 last year and going on a run to the NFC championship game in the playoffs. The season's first two games will be playoff rematches against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home, who the Lions beat at Ford Field in the postseason last year.

The Lions play one more prime time game on Monday night against the Seahawks in Week 4 at home before an early bye in Week 5. Detroit returns to Dallas after the bye in a rematch of last year's controversial loss and plays the Vikings and Packers in Weeks 7 and 9. The next primetime game is Week 10 Sunday Night Football against the Texans on the road, followed by two more games against AFC South opponents.

Top pick Caleb Williams will return to the city where he was drafted on Thanksgiving when the Bears come for the annual holiday game against the Lions. Detroit will have two more home games the weeks following Thanksgiving against the Packers and Bills. Then they finish the season with road trips to the Bears and 49ers before finishing the season at home against the Vikings, like last year.
