Details Emerge From Antonio Brown’s New Contract With Buccaneers
On Tuesday afternoon, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers finally announced a decision on wide receiver Antonio Brown for the 2021 season.
There were reports in April that he was signing a one-year, $6 million deal with the defending Super Bowl champions. Following weeks of rumors about a potential new deal, the Buccaneers officially signed the veteran wide receiver to a one-year deal.
On Wednesday morning, ESPN’s Field Yates revealed the details of Brown’s new contract with the team. The veteran wide receiver earned a $2 million signing bonus with a base salary of $1.1 million.
He can also add $900,000 in per-game incentives and an additional $2 million for incentives hit throughout the season.

Brown didn’t join the team until the middle of the 2020 season, but played a significant role as the team made a run through the playoffs and to the Super Bowl.
He finished the regular season with 45 receptions for 483 yards and four touchdowns. He and Tom Brady connected on five passes for 22 yards and a pivotal touchdown in the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Brown and Brady won a Super Bowl in their first year together in Tampa. We’ll have to wait and see what they can do in Year 2.
