Earlier this week, the NFL world was glued to the press conference of one Aaron Rodgers.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback finally reported to training camp and sat down with reporters in the afternoon. He opened up on why he was unhappy with the organization and what his future plans were.

Despite showing his frustrations, Rodgers reportedly agreed to a new deal with the Packers. Initially, the only details revealed from the new deal showed a voided year in 2023.

However, on Thursday night, NFL insider Tom Pelissero offered a few more details about the new deal. He revealed that Aaron Rodgers can become a free agent if he plays the 2021 and 2022 seasons with the Packers.

Here’s more:

Pelissero also noted there is no new money on the deal. Rodgers will make a total of $22 million during the 2021 season and nearly $27 million during the 2022 season.

Paying the reigning NFL MVP just $50 million over the next two seasons seems like a bargain for the Packers. We’ll have to wait and see if he actually plays the next two seasons in Green Bay, though.

Rodgers could choose to play for the Packers in 2021 and then try to force a trade to a new team.
