Despite crushing playoff loss to 49ers, Colin Cowherd, LeRoy Butler and many others impressed with Packers' performance this season

So you woke up this morning and continued to ask yourself how the Green Bay Packers lost another playoff game to the San Francisco 49ers?

Well, join the club.

But when the sting cools from the 24-21 loss to the NFC's best team and we can reset and take a further replay review of the season, remember that none of this was supposed to happen.

Remember that the Packers were never supposed to be the No. 7 seed with the a young quarterback that was replacing Aaron Rodgers. They were supposed to be "rebuilding."

Remember that they broke the Dallas Cowboys' 16-game home winning streak in the wild-card round of the playoffs before outplaying the top-seeded 49ers for more than three quarters despite missed opportunities (and a missed field goal).

And if you still can't stomach it, let some others refresh your memory on why the future is so bright for the Packers. (It's OK to do so while your broken heart is still in repair).

Here's a sample. Even Fox Sports' Colin Cowherd has completely reversed his thoughts on the Packers' future.

And one other note, did Steven A. Smith jinx Jordan Love and the Packers when he was ripping Brock Purdy?
