Derek Carr took the field as a Raider for the final time Sunday afternoon at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

He was there for the Pro Bowl flag football game, a late replacement on the AFC roster.

Raider Nation saluted the nine-year pro out of Fresno State.

It didn’t start off too well for Carr during the first half when he was picked off by the Arizona Cardinals’ Budda Baker, but Carr redeemed himself when he threw a touchdown to Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals.

The AFC lost to the NFC 35-33.

Afterward, Carr walked off the field with Hall of Famer Ray Lewis while fans lined the tunnel to the locker room to say farewell.

A fan held up a sign: “Thank you DC4.”

The Raiders have until Feb. 15 to find a trade partner or the team will release Carr to avoid the $40 million commitment remaining on his contract.

Next stop for Carr is possibly the Jets, Panthers, Commanders, Titans, Bucs, Colts or Saints.

Carr speaks about final time in Allegiant Stadium

In an interview with NFL Network, Carr said he’s thankful for his time in Las Vegas and Oakland and was looking forward to stepping inside Allegiant Stadium one final time as a Raider.

“There comes a time when it is time to move on, and that’s this time,” he said. “I’m excited. Can’t wait to see where God takes us next. I’m going to give that city everything that I have. But just for one more time, I get to represent the Raiders, and I’m excited to do that for our fans, and to get to say goodbye in our stadium. I didn’t know what my next time in the stadium would be, but for it being the fourth Pro Bowl, that’s a pretty good time.”

Carr had the quip of the weekend after an on-fire skills challenge performance Thursday night.

Asked by ESPN’s Ryan Clark, “Have you ever been that hot in Las Vegas?” Carr didn’t miss a beat.

“Not that hot. That’s probably why I’m going somewhere else,” he said, flashing a wry smile.
