SOUTH KITSAP — Dental and urgent care services may come to the McCormick Village neighborhood, according to two proposed projects submitted to the City of Port Orchard in February.

An applicant at The Cordillera Group, a Kirkland-based real estate company, has proposed an urgent care clinic and a dental office in the McCormick Village's commercial area, which is located at the southwest corner of the intersection at SW Yarrows Street and McCormick Village Drive and north of SW Old Clifton Road, across the road and just west from the McCormick Woods residential neighborhood and golf course, according to the city's two notices of application issued on March 8.

The size of the dental clinic project is 2,400 square feet and the urgent care center could be 3,000 square feet, according to the notices.

It is unknown which healthcare provider plans to run the clinics if the facilities are built.

"We can't provide specifics on tenants at this point in time," Michael Eney, chief financial officer of The Cordillera Group said in an email reply to the Kitsap Sun's inquiry.

Eney said the project is being completed by McCormick Villages LLC and the nearly 30,000-square-feet commercial area will be leased to tenants "across the healthcare, retail, services, and food or beverage sectors."

Anyone interested in commenting on the applications can submit their comments to the city by March 22, according to the notice.
