Demi Lovato Looks Like a Vampire Arriving at the 2023 MTV VMAs

Demi Lovato turned to her dark side in a bold and edgy look for the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, making an impact when she arrived on the red carpet.

The 31-year-old rolled up to the VMAs in a black dress with a strappy leather top slightly visible under the main feature of the outfit, which was a floor-length leather jacket with huge shoulder pads jutting out to the sides. The coat created a triangle shape that added to the total dark vibes.

Lovato went for bold and intense makeup, with her hair slicked back, similar to Megan Thee Stallion's look for the night. She added some stylish earrings, while her nails and shoes were black to match the rest of the outfit.

Some questioned the shoulder pads, with a user even joking, "Me stealing the flat screen tv from Walmart," but in general, fans agreed, "demi lovato knows how to do a red carpet."

Lovato received two nominations for the 2023 VMAs for her song “SWINE,” which came out at the start of summer and served as a response to the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Released in late June 2023, the net profits of the song for a year after its release will be donated to the Demi Lovato Foundation's Reproductive Justice Fund, which will in turn go to three related nonprofits, as Lovato shared on Instagram.

The singer also arrived as a performer for the night's ceremony, along with others like Doja Cat, Olivia Rodrigo, Fall Out Boy, and more.
