Is 'Death and Other Details' Renewed for a Season 2?
As Death and Other Details airs on Hulu, fans are already wondering if the Mandy Patinkin-starring murder mystery will be coming back for more.
Mike Weiss and Heidi Cole McAdams, the co-creators, writers, and showrunners, are already planning for a second season of Death and Other Details, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
"We have some top secret hopes and dreams," Weiss tells Town & Country. "Some of those, some of those hopes and dreams are based in those last two episodes. And so we don't want to spoil it for you." He continued, "Look, not every character in the pilot is going to survive the first season, but for the characters who are lucky enough to survive the very dangerous cruise that they find themselves on, they're gonna go off and they're going to take on more mysteries together as a unit."
Hopefully, the mystery (or is it mysteries?) of season one will be wrapped up when the finale airs, leaving Rufus Cotesworth (Mandy Patinkin) to go on and solve another mystery alongside Imogene (Violett Beane).
While filming, Patinkin tells T&C, he felt like it was two mysteries: "One was the one that we were shooting, and the other was trying to figure out what the fuck we were shooting. I really felt like I was not the brilliant detective, but more the person in the audience who couldn’t figure it out." Neither he nor anyone else in the cast (besides, we presume, the actor playing the murderer) knew the answer.
