Dean Norris Debuts As Stabler's Brother in New 'Organized Crime' Promo

Dean Norris

Dean Norris debuts as Elliot Stabler's brother in a promo for next week's episode of Law & Order: Organized Crime ("Deliver Us From Evil"), and let's just say his character Randall seems like a bigger jerk to Stabler than Hank was to Walt in Breaking Bad.

As NBC previously announced, Norris's Randall is a successful real-estate agent who has a "strained relationship [with his brother] due to a disagreement about their father."

The teaser doesn't tell us much about what's in store for Randall, but we know from the Season 4 premiere that his mother's dementia has progressed, and that she's been asking Stabler for him. “Don’t touch me,” she snaps. "I don’t need you. I need Randall. I need your brother. Where is Randall?"

From the looks of the promo, Stabler collects his brother on behalf of their sick mom. "You glad to see me?" Randall asks with a chuckle. It would appear the answer is "no."

Eventually, viewers will get to meet the youngest Stabler brother, too. Played by The Right Stuff's Matthew Trotter, "Joe Jr." was dishonorably discharged from the Army and now works for a wine merchant.

Of course, this family reunion begs the question: Is Bernie Stabler (played by the great Ellen Burstyn) going to make it to the end of the season? If not, one can only hope that Olivia Benson will rush to Elliot's side to console him.
