DC Reveals Stunning Anime-Style Variant Covers For Black History Month

DC Comics has revealed a batch of variant covers for its titles to celebrate Black History Month next February, 2024.

All the variant covers feature Black heroes and are drawn by fan-favourite artist Nikolas Draper-Ivey, best known for working on Static and Static: Shadows of Dakota.

Heroes featured in the collection include Batwing, the Green Lantern John Stewart, Connor Hawke from Green Arrow, and Kid Flash.

Before the release of the black History Month variant covers in February, DC will release DC Power, a one-shot anthology featuring John Stewart, The Signal, Thunder and Lightning, Val-Zod, the Superman of Earth-2, The Spectre, Bloodwynd and Nubia.

It's going to be a busy year for DC, as it gears up to repackage some of its classic graphic novels and stories in a manga-sized books, including Watchmen, Batman: The Court of Owls and All-Star Superman.
