David Foster’s Daughter Has a Direct Message to Those Who Say He's ‘Abandoned’ His Other Kids

David Foster's daughter, Amy S. Foster, is coming to his defense after an Instagram comment accused him of "abandon[ing]" the rest of his children after his youngest, 2-year-old Rennie, was born.

After the prodigal musician, 73, shared a jaw-dropping video of his toddler, whom he shares with wife Katharine McPhee, 39, absolutely shredding out a drum solo in perfect time with Michael Jackson's "Rock With You,” one critic broke through the otherwise overwhelming praise for the rocker-to-be.

According to a screenshot of the comment section republished by People, one naysayer wrote, "Lol!!!! He's the dad.....he's also got daughters (he abandoned) older than me," as a reply to another comment that was not pictured.

But Amy wasn't standing for the slander. "Hi....im a daughter...absolutely no abandonment," Foster's second-oldest daughter wrote, according to another screenshot from the publication. "I literally just talked to my dad five minutes ago."

"Are you sticking up for us?" she questioned, explaining how "hard to tell" it is "these days" as she questioned why a video of the "amazing" toddler would leave them with "something negative."

She continued, "All you have to do is look at the comments and Rennie's sisters have all chimed in with compliments....We're great. We love our dad. Our dad loves us and we love how our dad is with Rennie."

By we, she is, of course, referring to the rest of her siblings: 53-year-old Allison, 42-year-old Sara, 41-year-old Erin, and 37-year-old Jordan. Erin recently announced that she's expecting her first child with husband, Simon Tikhman, making Foster and McPhee soon-to-be grandparents—again.
