Davante Adams hasn’t shied away from showing his support for Aaron Rodgers this offseason despite the fact that the three-time MVP is holding out from the Green Bay Packers’ offseason workout program.

In a recent interview with Fox News, Adams opened up about his support for Rodgers. He refuses to let this situation affect his relationship with his quarterback, regardless if Rodgers returns for the 2021 season or not.

“I’ll be there and I’ll be ready to rock. Hopefully, Aaron will be there as well and if he’s not, we’re gonna get going,” Adams said, via Fox News. “Like I said in the press recently, I back him and I support him whatever he does. It’s just kind of how we get down. We’ve always had each other’s backs since I first got here. Like I said, praying that he comes back, but if not I’ll be there and I’ll be working.”

Adams also revealed if Rodgers’ absence has affected Green Bay’s locker room. The All-Pro wideout told Fox News that the rest of the team has handled this situation very well.

“Honestly, it’s not even something that we truly talk about like that. It’s just, everybody’s been dialed into what they got to do. There’s enough to worry about with themselves than to be going and worrying about what other guys are doing and what their situation is like, especially when we can’t control any of that. I think everybody’s mindset, everybody is going to love Aaron the same way when he returns, and obviously it’s been a little bit of a confusing situation but there hasn’t been any negative talk or anything like that. Everybody’s behind him.”

It’s not surprising to hear that Green Bay’s locker room is respecting Rodgers’ space. He’s simply too important to the franchise for players to just turn their back on him.

While it’s no secret that several players on the Packers want Rodgers back under center this fall, there’s just no telling how this story will end.

Rodgers has remained quiet about his situation and doesn’t really give any hints as to what he’s thinking other than wearing a shirt that says “I’m offended.”

Do you think Aaron Rodgers will ever suit up for the Packers again?
