Dateline & 20/20 to air specials tonight on Moscow homicides. Here’s when, where to watch
The quadruple homicide in Moscow, where four University of Idaho students were killed, will get top billing from two major network shows Friday night (Jan. 13).
Dateline: Killings in a College Town (8 p.m., NBC)
“Dateline” sends Keith Morrison to Moscow to get the latest updates on the killings of four University of Idaho college students — Madison Mogen (21), Kaylee Goncalves (21), Xana Kernodle (20) and Ethan Chapin (20) — and the arrest of the suspected killer, Bryan Kohberger. The students were stabbed to death in the middle of the night inside an off-campus residence in November. Police connected Kohberger, who had been a Ph.D student at nearby Washington State University, by DNA on a knife sheath left at the scene, and other evidence. So far there has been no information released regarding a possible motive.
Morrison will interview family members of the victims and former acquaintances of the suspected killer.
20/20: Horror in Idaho: The Student Murders (8 p.m., ABC)
“20/20” also looks at the Idaho college student killings, with a range of experts talking about various aspects of the case, including the investigation timeline and the DNA technology that helped them identify a suspect. Included are interviews with friends and family members of the victims, and an interview with Kaylee Goncalves’ father, in which he talks about her worries over a potential stalker. The episode info promises “chilling new details” about the case.
