It’s the Daredevil/Kingpin/Jessica Jones ‘Team-Up’ You Didn’t Know You Needed — See Photo

We’re still a ways away from seeing Daredevil back in action on screen, but this weekend at GalaxyCon Austin, the blind superhero unofficially teamed up with Jessica Jones and his nemesis, Kingpin, for a super-charged photo op.

In pic posted by Vincent D’Onofrio, the actor who plays the Marvel villain was reunited with costars Charlie Cox (Daredevil) and Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) for a special appearance that included a live Q&A and autograph signing.

Of course, D’Onofrio and Cox are due to reunite for real in the 18-episode forthcoming Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again. It was originally scheduled for spring 2024, but has been removed from the streamer’s release schedule for now, along with Ironheart and Wonder Man. Writing duo Matt Corman and Chris Ord (Covert Affairs) are set to write and executive-produce, but an official release date remains TBD.

The Daredevil: Born Again cast is known to also include Jon Bernthal, who confirmed he will reprise his own Netflix role as Frank Castle aka The Punisher, plus Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark) and Margarita Levieva (Revenge, The Deuce). As for the status of Ritter’s return to the fold as the boozy P.I. Jessica Jones, the actress said there are no official plans.

“I think that people love Jessica. I know because I live it,” said Ritter in an April episode of the podcast Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum. “Marvel is so secretive. I am just putting that out there that, of course, I would be there in a second. I would have my boots and jacket ready to rock.”

Cox starred as the titular character in Netflix’s Marvel’s Daredevil for three seasons (from 2015-2018). In that series’ finale, Matt struck a deal to protect Fisk’s wife Vanessa while Wilson was in prison. In turn, the incarcerated crime boss wouldn’t reveal Matt’s vigilante identity.
