Marvel's Daredevil: Born Again has resumed filming following a lengthy break caused by the actors and writers strike.

The series, which is considered a reboot of Netflix's Daredevil series but is set to still feature Charlie Cox as the titular lawyer-cum-crimefighter, received a creative overhaul during the strikes, resulting in a change of direction.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series has now completed its overhaul, and production is set to resume again on Monday (January 22).

Several changes have been made to the series following its break.

Stunt coordinator Philip Silvera, who acted as stunt and fight coordinator on the Netflix version of the show, has returned to production in the same role and as second unit director.

Writer Dario Scardapane (The Punisher) and directing duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Loki), have also been brought in.

As well as Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio will reprise his role as Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin and Jon Bernthal will return as Punisher.

There has been no official confirmation on if Deborah Ann Wool and Elden Henson will be back as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson.

The character of Daredevil also appeared in the newly released Disney+ series Echo, starring Alaqua Cox.

Teased as "one of the best cameos we've ever done," by Echo producer Brad Winderbaum, the appearance saw Daredevil and Echo brawl during a flashback sequence for the titular anti-heroine.

Writer Amy Rardin recently discussed the cameo: "I mean, we were really excited to get to use Daredevil, because he’s a very important part of the [Echo] comics," she explained. "So we knew that we were going to want to use him in a specific way.

"The fight between Daredevil and Maya was very important to [director] Sydney [Freeland]. We talked a lot in the room about consistently keeping the story from Maya’s point of view."

She added that, "To get to be able to use Daredevil was amazing, but it was very much in service of Maya’s story and who she is at that time in her life."

All episodes of Echo are now streaming on Disney+.
