Daniel Snyder Explains Why He’s Touring Stadiums Out West

Washington Football Team owner Daniel Snyder is going on a worldwide trip. Why? To tour some of the world’s best sports stadiums.

Snyder told reporters on Thursday he’s hoping to draw inspiration from the world’s most impressive stadiums to use on Washington’s eventual new stadium.

Snyder and team president Jason Wright have already ventured out to the West Coast. The two visited SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles earlier this week. The impressive venue is the current home to the Chargers and Rams.

The Washington Football Team would like to garner ideas for their new stadium, and are doing so by checking out the world’s best.

“We’re touring stadiums,” Snyder told TMZ Sports. “We’re coming West Coast and touring. There’s about 12 of us and we’re just looking to build a new venue back home in D.C., Virginia, Maryland. So, we’re everywhere. Jason, our whole group, 12 of us, we’re having some fun and looking at the future.”

Daniel Snyder is planning on having a new home for the Washington Football Team by 2027. By the sound of it, the new venue could be even more impressive than SoFi or AT&T Stadium.

Washington has undergone plenty of changes over the past year. The organization finally moved on from their previous nickname, the ‘Redskins.’ The team has been temporarily renamed the ‘Washington Football Team.’

It’s unclear when Snyder and company will find a new permanent team name. In the meantime, Washington’s front office is exploring ideas for its new stadium, expected to be built by 2027.
