Danica Patrick Reveals Her Mindset Heading Into 2021

The pandemic has been tough on everyone for a number of reasons. The inability to travel freely is among the toughest for some.

Danica Patrick is certainly in that group.

The former NASCAR star turned podcast host loves to travel the globe, and while she’s still been able to make some trips over the last year, it’s been a bit restrictive.

Patrick, 38, is hoping that will change in 2021. She spoke about her mindset entering the new year during an interview with PEOPLE.

“I feel like I’ve already done so much traveling and just about 2021, I’ve been talking to people in the last few weeks and it’s about planning trips and I’m like, ‘Let’s do it,’ ” Patrick said. “2021 is my year of travel, let’s go!”

Patrick added that traveling during the pandemic can be difficult, but it’s worth the effort.

“Everything’s done responsibly and, yes, you have to take more tests to go places, but look, it doesn’t mean it’s not possible,” she told PEOPLE.

Patrick made a couple of notable trips in 2020, taking to Instagram to show off her destinations.
