Danica Patrick Looks Back On Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Experience
Former NASCAR star turned business woman Danica Patrick is on the list of athletes to have posed for the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
Patrick, a pioneer in the racing world, had success both on and off the track during her career. Notably, Patrick posed for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue in 2008 and ’09.
The 2021 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue is currently on newsstands.
Patrick, now 39, revealed in an interview that she would have loved to be a full-time swimsuit model. She said she had an incredible experience posing for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
“You could actually say I was on the cover,” Patrick said in an interview with SI.com years ago. “I had a little image in the top right corner of the cover. I think Bar Refaeli was the cover girl that year.”
Patrick added: “I had so much fun. It was a great experience and I loved it completely. Like, I wish I was a swimsuit model because it was really fun.”
Patrick is one of several notable athletes to have posed for the issue.
While Patrick hasn’t done any official modeling as of late, she’s had plenty of fun on the water this year.
