Former race car driver turned business woman Danica Patrick was the guest picker for ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday morning.

Patrick, a Midwest native, was the guest picker for Saturday’s show, which took place in Chicago prior to Notre Dame’s win over Wisconsin.

The former NASCAR driver had a funny admission during her picks segment.

“I can’t tell you my reasons, but I really like Stanford to win today,” Patrick said of the Cardinal.

Many interpreted that as a shot at Stanford’s rival, Cal Berkeley. That’s where her ex-boyfriend, Aaron Rodgers, went to school. Patrick and Rodgers broke up at some point in 2020.

“That’s a pretty hard Aaron Rodgers diss there lol,” one fan joked.

Both Patrick and Rodgers have since moved on. Rodgers is engaged to actress Shailene Woodley, while Patrick is dating Carter Comstock.

“I think we learn the most about ourselves through relationships, but there’s nothing like heartbreak to really throw you in the deep end of that,” Patrick said earlier this year, via US Weekly. “But I’ve learned a lot and as broken open as I was on the sad end, I have felt so much joy in so many more instances and so many more unlikely places than I ever have, so it’s like my heart got broken open to both ends of the spectrum.”
