‘Dancing with the Stars’ hosts Tom Bergeron, Erin Andrews out at ABC reality show

Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews are turning in their dancing shoes.

The two hosts of “Dancing with the Stars” won’t be returning when the ABC reality competition show does, the network announced Monday.

“Just informed (”Dancing with the Stars”) will be continuing without me,” Bergeron tweeted Monday night. “It’s been an incredible 15 year run and the most unexpected gift of my career. I’m grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made. That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?”

Bergeron, 65, has hosted the show since it premiered in 2005 and has been its most familiar face amid a revolving cast of professional dancers and celebrities.

Andrews, meanwhile, joined the cast in 2014 after taking third place during the 10th season.

“Thank you ABC and the entire ‘Dancing With the Stars’ family for 6 memorable seasons,” she tweeted Tuesday. “Those years wouldn’t have been as special without my loving host Tom Bergeron, the talented dancers, and witty judges. I will always cherish my days on that set, even if I wasn’t the best at walking in heels.”

The new TV shows picked up for the fall 2020 season

ABC and BBC Studios confirmed the departures to the Daily News Tuesday but did not answer questions about possible replacements.

“Tom Bergeron will forever be part of the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ family. As we embark on a new creative direction, he departs the show with our sincerest thanks and gratitude for his trademark wit and charm that helped make this show a success,” they said in a joint statement.

“Erin will also not be returning, and we appreciate all that she brought to the ballroom. Fans have been rooting for her since she originally competed as a contestant back in 2010, and her signature sense of humor has become a hallmark of the show.”

“Dancing with the Stars” has been renewed for a 29th season and is penciled in for ABC’s fall schedule for its traditional Monday 8 p.m. time slot, but all plans are on hold during the coronavirus shutdown. A cast has not yet even been announced and it’s unclear if and when the show will be able to return as planned.
