Dancing with the Stars host Tyra Banks looks set to foxtrot away from the hit dance show.

Tyra is no stranger to career change, swapping catwalks for hosting and judging duties on America's Next Top Model and Dancing with the Stars, as well as having plenty of acting credits to her name.

The former supermodel joined Dancing with the Stars in 2020, for season 29, taking over from original host Tom Bergeron.

Now she has said she wants to focus on her multiple businesses.

Speaking to TMZ, she said: "I feel it's time for me to really focus on my business and my entrepreneurship and also producing more TV, behind the scenes."

The "mic drop" moment came when Tyra was being interviewed as she left Whole Foods in Santa Monica, California, where she spoke about her ice cream brand Smize and Dream in the UAE and its expansion to the US market and beyond.

Tyra added: "You know what, I think it's time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor.

"I think it's time, don't you think it's time? I think it's time."

Teasing other projects that she has lined up, such as a new business show, the TV personality said: "I think my heart and soul is in my business and also in producing new TV.

"I really, really want to focus on my business, and you can't do that hosting a show, so you will see me creating things, not just hosting things."

"From the ballroom to the boardroom."

Disney+ has yet to confirm whether Tyra is departing from the show.

Dancing with the Stars streams live on Disney+ in the US.
