Dancing With the Stars Finale Poll: Who Will Win Season 32? And Who Should?

Charli D’Amelio will pass Dancing With the Stars’ Mirrorball trophy to another worthy winner on Tuesday — and for the first time ever, there are five finalists who could potentially take it from her.

During its recent semifinals episode, Dancing opted not to send anyone home, leaving five contestants — Xochitl Gomez, Alyson Hannigan, Charity Lawson, Ariana Madix and Jason Mraz — in the running on finale night, instead of the usual four. But before that confetti shower rains down on Tuesday night, we want your thoughts on who will (and should) emerge victorious from Season 32.

If we’re making our predictions based solely on scores, then it seems Alyson is facing the biggest challenge heading into finale night. Though she’s been steadily improving throughout the season, she has yet to notch a perfect score from the judges, and her technique still has some wobbly moments, even this late in the season. But the Dancing With the Stars audience sure loves an underdog, and Alyson’s inspiring arc during Season 32 is the perfect distillation of what this show encourages in its contestants. Even with lower scores than her fellow finalists, I wouldn’t count Alyson out.

Plus, in a turn of events that’s been thrilling for this longtime Dancing With the Stars recapper, the other four finalists are so evenly matched, it feels almost impossible to predict which one of them might outdo the others on Tuesday. Scoring-wise, the odds ever-so-slightly favor Xochitl, who’s earned the highest number of perfect scores thus far this season, including back-to-back perfect 30s in the semifinals round. She also has a beloved partner in Val Chmerkovskiy, which could go a long way with viewers’ votes on finale night.

But Charity, Ariana and Jason have all earned perfect scores, too, and they each bring a persuasive argument for winning to the table: Charity, after weeks of struggling to emotionally connect with her dances, has finally jumped that hurdle and delivered her best work of the season; Jason has also broken through at just the right time, after a several-week-long plateau; and Ariana, a sensational dancer from the start, is seeking a satisfying ending to her compelling redemption story, alongside a professional partner who is tantalizingly close to a victory after flaming out early in recent seasons.
