‘Dance Moms’ dancer arrested on charges including sexual battery in Florida

A Florida man who once appeared on the Lifetime reality series “Dance Moms” has been arrested for engaging in sexually inappropriate behavior with at least two students.

Kevin Cosculluela was taken into custody Friday in Orange County on seven felony charges, including sexual battery, according to arrest records. He is also facing counts for the solicitation of a minor and lewd and lascivious conduct.

The 25-year-old dancer has since pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Both of the alleged victims told authorities they first met Consculluela at the Peaches Dance and Music studio in Orlando — where they both received special attention and private lessons from the television personality.

According to an arrest warrant obtained by TMZ on Tuesday, the dance instructor is accused of sexually abusing a pair of underage students in 2020. One told authorities that as she became more comfortable with Consculluela, they switched to talking through the app, Snapchat.

She has alleged that her former instructor eventually managed to get her to come over to his apartment, where she engaged in oral sex with him on two different occasions.

The other teen claimed that while things never got physical with Consculluela, he repeatedly solicited nudes from her and that he climbed on top of her while they were in his bed. She noted they were both clothed and did not have sex at the time.

According to the arrest warrant, one victim told officials she viewed her instructor as someone “famous,” “important” and “influential,” People reported.

“She explained that Kevin is a ‘celebrity’ dancer and was on a television show called, Dance Moms and Broadway,” the warrant said.

Conscuelluela would also allegedly use dance as a means to manipulate the girls, often threatening to take away their private instruction when they would rebuff his advances.

“[One victim] explained that Kevin would threaten to take away lessons, ignore her during lessons, yell at her, swear at her and not speak to her for days if she didn’t do what he wanted,” according to the warrant. “She said that it affected her greatly when he ignored her during her dance lessons because of how important she viewed him.”

Conscuelluela, who has since been fired from his job at Peaches Dance and Music Studio, appeared on Lifetime’s hit show, “Dance Moms” in 2018. He was a guest dancer at the Abby Lee Dance Company on the Senior Competition Team during the third season.
