Dance festival Jacob's Pillow starts 2024 season soon in Berkshires. How to go.

Dance is a beautiful art form, and the height of contemporary dance is returning this summer.

Jacob's Pillow is the longest-running international dance festival in the United States.

It will last from June 26 to August 25 and is hosted at Jacob's Pillow Farm in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. More precisely, Jacob's Pillow is located in Becket.

"This summer’s dance performances are an eclectic mix of Jacob’s Pillow debuts and longtime audience favorites, including ballet, modern, Indigenous dance from across Turtle Island, hip hop, flamenco, circus, and more," the website said.

Jacob's Pillow typically features famous dance companies, and this year is expected to be no different.

The Royal Ballet, a world-renowned London-based ballet company, will be at the festival for the very first time and present many different programs indoors and outdoors from July 3 to 7.

While Jacob's Pillow used to have several free outdoor performances for the public (where donations were happily accepted), paid admission to the festival's performances has become the norm ever since the country recovered from the pandemic. Now, many of the outdoor ticket shows include a pay-what-you-can option.

Most of the performances are ticketed and feature the likes of Parsons Dance, Sekou McMiller & Friends, the Dancers of Damelahamid and more. They have both indoor and outdoor shows.

You can find out more about the available performances on Jacob's Pillow's website.

Performance prices range from $15 per attendee to $50.
