Dana White wasn’t a fan of Floyd Mayweather’s decision to get in the ring with the unproven Logan Paul last weekend.

Mayweather is one of boxing’s all-time greats, but he lost lots of respect when he took on a former YouTube star last weekend. White would like to see the 44-year-old retire rather than take these massive pay-days to fight novices.

“I would love to see Floyd retire,” White told TMZ Sports. “He’s had an incredible career and to do these type of fights, it’s silly.”

As for the possibility of Logan Paul getting in the Octagon, White isn’t ruling it out just yet. While he’s still skeptical, he’s allowed novices to compete before.

“I don’t know man … I don’t know,” White said on the possibility of Paul fighting in the UFC. “Here’s the thing, not to say that I haven’t taken a guy in that’s been 0-0 into the UFC and done those types of fights before … I don’t know.”

Floyd Mayweather lost respect for not only taking the fight but having to go all eight rounds with Logan Paul. On the flipside, Paul gained plenty of respect for going toe-to-toe with one of the all-time boxing greats.

It certainly looks like Paul wants to continue fighting. The real question is will he do so in boxing or in the UFC?

Dana White would have to give him the opportunity. Depending on the ratings and revenue projections, it may be worth it.
