Dallas investment firm acquires sprawling Fort Worth West 7th urban village

Crockett Row on West Seventh Street has been purchased by a Dallas-based investment firm that plans to improve parking, signs and accessiblity.

Younger Partners Investment announced Tuesday that it secured the 282,334-square foot urban village, filled with apartments, offices, shops and restaurants. Crockett Row was developed in 2009 and managed by Phoenix-based Vestar.

Younger Partners’ Co-Managing Partners Kathy Permenter said in a release that Crockett Row is a target investment because of its strong demographic and location in the Cultural District.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Crockett Row has it all,” YPI Managing Director Micah Ashford said in a press release. “Visitors can park, walk, shop, play, dine, see a movie and have a cocktail at the property.”

There has been a series of departures in the district in recent months. Fireside Pies closed in February, following the closure of the Crockett Hall food court and bar in January and shutdowns by Dallas-based Blue Fish Sushi and a center neighbor, Fred’s Texas Cafe.

Younger Partners Investments said it plans to add elevators, gathering spaces and parking technology that will help visitors find open spaces.
