Daisy Ridley's new movie confirms UK release date on Prime Video
Daisy Ridley's latest film The Marsh King’s Daughter has landed a UK release date on Prime Video.
The long-awaited movie, which is adapted from Karen Dionne's 2017 novel of the same name and also stars Rogue One's Ben Mendelsohn, will be available to watch for UK viewers from January 15, 2024.
The Marsh King’s Daughter follows the story of Helena (Ridley), whose life is turned upside down after learning that her father (Mendelsohn), known as the the infamous 'Marsh King', has escaped from prison.
Fearing that her father will now track her down, Helena is determined to protect her family from the Marsh King, who previously held her and her mother captive for numerous years.

Directed by Divergent's Neil Burger and adapted by The Revenant's Mark L Smith, the film also stars Garrett Hedlund, Caren Pistorius, Gil Birmingham, Joey Carson and Brooklynn Prince.
The Marsh King’s Daughter premiered in US cinemas last month to a mixed response from critics, with the film currently sitting at 37% on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes after 41 reviews.
Screen Rant praised the cast's "strong performances" but said the film had a "dawdling pace", while Next Best Picture added: "Neil Burger's newest film isn't revolutionary in its storytelling, nor does it keep us guessing how it’ll end."

Meanwhile, Ridley has various new projects in the works, with the actress reprising her role as Rey in a highly anticipated return to the Star Wars universe.
Ridley has recently been seen filming for action movie Cleaner as well as joining the cast of We Bury the Dead. The actress will also be seen in upcoming film Sometimes I Think About Dying, which dropped its first trailer last month.
The Marsh King's Daughter will be released on Prime Video in the UK on January 15, 2024.
