S.D Cross Country and Track and Field Coaches Association's squad includes 88 area honorees

Eighty-eight area high school student-athletes have been named to the South Dakota Cross Country and Track and Field Coaches Association's 2024 Academic All-State team for high school track and field.

To be honored, the student-athlete must be a senior who has been nominated by their coach. They also must have competed in track and field for at least three years and have a grade-point average of 3.5 or above.

Here are the area honorees, by school:

Aberdeen Central — Jett Carlson, Samson Flakus, Grant Fritz, Rylan Johnson, Andrew Jorgenson, Avery Ligon and Christian Wells.

Aberdeen Roncalli — Faith Danielson, Bella Martinez, Anna Mitzel, Beau Price and Paige and Sarah Schmidt.

Castlewood — Lane Tvedt, Presley Knecht, Kelly Goens, Chloe Ribstein and Gracie Haug.

Clark-Willow Lake — Jack Helkenn and Tyson Huber.

De Smet — Kadyn Fast, Thomas Aughenbaugh, Trace VanRegenmorter and George Jensen.

Deubrook Area — Kadence Bowne, Delaney Pedersen, Akasha Gorecki, Madalyn Bauman, Colton Trooien, Landen Johnson, Riley Niehus and Jace Vomacka.

Deuel — Grace Billiups, Josie Andersen, Matthew Buyert and Robert Begalka.

Elkton-Lake Benton — Caedmon Bressler, Riddick Westley, Kylie Ramlo, Zoey Greer and Marcela Meijia.

Florence-Henry — Taylor Watson, Caylin Kelly and Jayden Thomas.

Hitchcock-Tulare — Jodyn Bawek.

Ipswich — Trevor Heinz.

Iroquois-Lake Preston — Faith Steffensen.

Milbank — Maggie Kruger, Amelia Pederson, Nadia Thue, Stella Wendland, James Batchelor and Jayden Johnson.

Softball: Florence-Henry, Castlewood, Deuel and Elkton-Lake Benton make up half the field

Mobridge-Pollock — Simon Fried, Andrew Fulkerson, Logan Vetch, Heidi Olson, Ryli Thompson and Joslyn Voegele.

Potter County — Kayden Cronin, Nicholas Schlachter and Sean Seurer.

Redfield — Elijah Morrissette, Carmen Herrera, Jersey Morrison and Katie Rozell.
