Welcome to our latest Cape Cod and Islands Softball High School Player of the Week Poll.

High school sports fans can vote for which softball players they think were standouts during the previous week.

The poll will be open from Friday through Thursday. The winner will be announced on Friday along with the new poll. Votes are unlimited.

Rules of the Road

Votes must be cast via the Cape Cod Times website/mobile sites. Votes submitted via email and social media will NOT be accepted. To vote for this week's Player of the Week, scroll down on this page.

Leighton won her first poll of the season with 46% of the votes, and became the third Shark (Alana Lojko and Hailey Lanciani). She pitched a complete game, allowing six hits, two runs (none earned), one walk and striking out eight, and was 3-for-5 (two triples, two RBIs, two runs) at the plate in a 8-2 win over Nauset.

Bellefeuille had three hits, three BRIs, and two runs in a 18-6 win over Dennis-Yarmouth.

Rylin Briggs, Falmouth

Briggs pitched a complete a game, gave up two hits, and struck out 12 in a 15-1 win over Dennis-Yarmouth. She also had four hits, one double, two runs, and two RBIs.

Brooke Chicoine, Dennis-Yarmouth

Chicoine hit an inside the park home run, and scored three runners in a loss to Durfee.

Jazlyn Coyer, Barnstable

Coyer finished with two doubles, two singles, and five runs in a 22-16 win over Sturgis.

Femino ended with four hits, one double, two runs, and three RBIs as the Clippers beat D-Y.

Gates went 4-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored in a 4-3 win over Cardinal Spellman.

King was just short of a cycle with two singles, two doubles, and one triple in a 24-11 win over Cape Tech.

Lister (2-for-4) hit the winning RBI in the bottom of the seventh inning for Monomoy as they walked off Cardinal Spellman.

Lojko went 4-for-4 at the plate with one home run, one triple, five RBIs, and one run scored, and pitched a complete game and allowed seven hits, six runs, no walks and struck out three as the Sharks beat D-Y.
