Crystal Kung Minkoff Leaving Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After 3 Seasons: ‘It’s Very Bittersweet’ (Watch)

Crystal Kung Minkoff and Bravo are not feeling the love tonight. After three seasons as a full-time cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Minkoff’s time with the franchise has come to an end. She will not return for the show’s upcoming 14th season.

“It’s very bittersweet,” Minkoff said in a video posted to Instagram on Monday. “Never did I think I would have been asked to do this show in a million years, let alone film it for three seasons. Every single year I was asked back, it was a blessing. It was an honor. Being the first Asian-American on Beverly Hills was a lot of weight on my shoulders, [and] I have since understood the magnitude of what that meant for people.”

She thanked fans for their support during her time on the show, especially as she shared difficult personal stories about her life, including her eating disorder and her father’s Alzheimer’s battle. Watch the full announcement video below:

“This is not goodbye,” Minkoff concluded. “This is see you soon. I have some other things going on that I will be sharing with you soon.”

Minkoff, who claims that her parents named her after Dynasty diva Krystle Carrington, joined the reality juggernaut in Season 11 (2021), instantly butting heads with fellow newbie Sutton Stracke over everything from personal space to potential racism. Honestly, just thinking about their drama has us reaching for our Stracke-approved anxiety relief roller. The show’s most recent season found Minkoff at odds with first-timer Annemarie Wiley, who is also not returning to the show for Season 14.

It’s also extremely worth mentioning that Minkoff is married to Rob Minkoff, director of The Lion King, who was frequently (yet also somehow not frequently enough?) featured on the show.
