We've all been there — spooky season creeps up on us at the start of October and we keep telling everyone we'll figure out our costumes as soon as possible.

Suddenly it's less a week until Halloween night and even fewer days until Halloween weekend but you have nothing to wear. Spirit Halloween is nearly plucked clean and every idea you come up with is either time-consuming, expensive or won't get here in time.

A crusty, white dog

Nothing is scarier than the crusty white dogs nipping at your heels.

Coming from Tiktoker Cynthia Reyes, she shared that one throw on an all white or off-white outfit and some animal ears. What makes the look is using red eyeshadow give yourself some "crust" in your inner eyes.

Add a little nose and some whiskers, now you're everyone's favorite crusty dog.

Wednesday Addams from 'Wednesday'

Join other Floridians with dressing up as pop culture's most iconic goth girl. Netflix's Wednesday Addams was found to be one of the most searched-for costume this year with 12 states searching for a costume more than any other pop culture costume or character, including Florida.

Jenna Ortega's iteration of the goth girl has a variety of different looks to replicate, from her signature black dresses to her sought-after dance dress.

Make it easier by grabbing a black dress from your own wardrobe and adding black boots and a belt with it. Braid your hair on both sides and do some edgier makeup.

Coming from Tiktok, one user shared a quick costume ideas that earned several compliments from party-goers. Lilhedizert said that she wore a tube top and covered it with aluminum foil, taping a Chipotle logo to look like a burrito.

A decent amount of us are guilty of purchasing the cheesy couple's T-shirts at theme parks. One of the most famous ones are Universal Studios' "Thing 1 and Thing 2," playing off the characters from Dr. Seuss's "Cat in the Hat."

Instead of letting these either sit in the back of your closet or only wearing them to bed, pull them out for a Halloween party. Go a bit further with the costume and pair them with some red jeans or leggings. Add a blue wig to really sell the look.

For those of us who scroll Tiktok, it's hard not to stumble across a live video of someone playing the mobile game "Subway Surfers."

Subway Surfers is a single-player mobile gaming app and website developed by the company Kiloo. The aim of the game is to outrun a train inspector while dodging oncoming trains, barriers and other objects.

There are multiple looks to recreate, with the main four characters being Jake, Tricky, Fresh and the Inspector. Most of items you might already have in your closet.

"Smarty Pants"

This is your chance to dip into your Halloween candy stash before weekend begins.

Attach Smarties candies to an old pair of jeans with glue dots or double-sided tape. You can also throw on a pair of glasses and suspenders to really play up the "Smarty pants" pun.

"A Ceiling Fan"

Another punny costume to consider. With so many fandoms exploding over the last few years, become a ceilingfan before it gets too popular.

Grab a sweatshirt or T-shirt, adding "#1 ceiling fan" or another phrase showcasing your love for the mounted fans. Don't forget the pom poms and posters!

Error Costume Not Found Costume

If all else fails, there's the classic "no costume" costume.

A plain pair of jeans and a shirt that reads "Error 404 Costume Not Found" will complete this look. You can either write directly on the shirt or use iron-on letters for the wording.
