Crunchyroll has added new games to its Game Vault, with the service seeing additional titles being added later in April. This month’s game additions include the retro-boxer Thunder Ray, the 8-bit Hime’s Quest, and the strategy RPG Captain Velvet Meteor, with two more titles coming soon.

In Hime’s Quest, you’ll help Crunchyroll-Hime, the service’s mascot, save the anime club from the Y2K apocalypse. It’s a cute 8-bit adventure that also lets you pet dogs, which is enough of a reason to check it out.

Thunder Ray is an arcade boxing game with HD animation, while Captain Velvet Meteor is a tactical game where players take on the role of Damien as he explores Japan as the eponymous hero. The game features Jump+ characters from many popular anime such as Spy x Family, Monster No. 8, Ghost Reaper Girl, Heart Gear, and more.

The two other games coming to the service are ExZeus: The Complete Collection, an arcade rail shooter, and Sushi for Robots, a puzzle game.

Crunchyroll Game Vault was a new benefit added to the service late last year, giving away free games to subscribers of the Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan Premium tiers. The service includes both free-to-play games and titles exclusive to subscribers. Not all games are Crunchyroll exclusives though, as evidenced by its past additions.

A lot of new changes are happening at Crunchyroll. User profiles are finally coming in April, and with an exciting Spring lineup and frequent addition of games, now is a good time to join the service.
