The Crown teases recreation of one historic Princess Diana moment in final season picture
Netflix's The Crown has released a picture of Elizabeth Debicki as Diana, Princess of Wales teasing the recreation of a historic moment in season 6.
The newly released picture for the upcoming sixth and final season of the show depicts a famous moment in which Princess Diana walked across a minefield in Huambo in central Angola.
In the real-life event from 1997, which happened just seven months before she died, Princess Diana visited Angola to meet landmine survivors to raise awareness of the work being done to clear landmines worldwide.

According to the Radio Times, filming for the famous scene took place in Spain instead of Angola, and saw Debicki filming outside Barcelona while the crew looked through old documents to make the recreation as accurate as possible.
Speaking about the historic moment, executive producer Suzanne Mackie said in an interview with Radio Times magazine: "The walk through the minefield epitomises how she approached her charity work, in a more modern, hands-on way than we had seen before from other members of the Royal Family. It was an honour to dramatise this historic moment for viewers."
In preparation for the scene, series director Christian Schwochow said that, along with researchers, he watched original footage of Diana at the minefield "over and over".

"It was very important to me to include scenes of Diana's charity work," Schwochow said. "We want to show why she was loved all over the world. She cared so much about the fate of people."
The on-set pictures show Debicki in character as the Princess of Wales wearing a blue vest and face shield as crowds watch her complete the walk in the background.
The final instalment of the popular series is set to depict Diana's final months and will include her relationship with Dodi Fayed, portrayed by Khalid Abdalla.
The Crown season 6 part 1 launches on Netflix on November 16. The Crown seasons 1-5 are streaming on Netflix. Seasons 1-4 are also available on DVD and Blu-ray.
